Brand New Youth Theatre Launches

The Drill has partnered up with local theatre company Egg Box to launch a brand new youth theatre for the city. This experienced team have previously run youth theatre groups for Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC), Nottingham Playhouse and Zest Theatre and make a wonderful addition to our vibrant new programme.

“I’ve worked with Dawn and Leana from Egg Box on-and-off for the past decade,” says Craig Morrow, Drill Theatre Manager, “and I’ve always been struck not only by the quality of their own children’s shows but also how well they support young people to express their creativity, develop self-confidence and decision-making skills whilst having an absolute blast!”

Each of our youth theatre groups welcome children and young people of all levels of experience.

We are passionate about providing an exciting and creative experience where participants can be themselves and express their ideas. Through games and creative activities each group will create their very own piece of theatre to share with a live audience at the end of term. There are no leads in our shows, each participant creates their own part which suits their own ambition and interests.

There are three age groups: Infants ages 5-8; Juniors ages 9-12; Seniors ages 13-18
