The Drill was packed to the rafters on Saturday 26 February, as indie-rockers The Sherlocks played to a sell-out crowd in a special one-off gig celebrated the re-launch of Lincoln’s historic Drill Hall.

Supported by Manchester’s The Lottery Winners, and local favourites the Kev Richardson Band and Vigilantes, the event closed with a post-show DJ set by Huey, from Fun Lovin’ Criminals/BBC 6 Music.

Theatre Manager Craig Morrow said: “We’ve been blown away by the great response to tonight’s gig. The crowds gave the musicians a huge Lincoln welcome and the bar was been buzzing. In fact it was even busier than we expected, and we had to rush out to buy more alcohol – but we’ll make sure we over order next time!”

“Teething issues aside, the general feedback for The Drill’s first event since Panto has been very positive. We hope that the ambition and audience pull that this gig has had – drawing form visitors from across the region – sets the tone for the type of music you’ll be able to see within our varied live arts programme.”

Here’s to the next show!
