After a brief hiatus, Badlands Lincoln Punk Festival returns for its third instalment and this year features it’s biggest and most vibrant lineup to date.
WEEKEND AND DAY TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE.
Running from 1st – 2nd September, the much-adored festival will take over The Drill with a celebration of all things punk rock and alternative and a line-up that features both local and national talent from diverse corners of the underground music scene.
In previous years, the festival unfolded across multiple intimate venues in Lincoln during 2018 and 2019. However, this year’s event will consolidate over 25 acts under one roof, encompassing a main stage and a parallel acoustic stage. Taking the lead this year is the exuberantly anticipated band, PET NEEDS, whose presence on stages alongside esteemed artists like Frank Turner and Flogging Molly has generated considerable excitement. They will take the headlining spot on Friday. Joining them as headliners is the celtic punk ensemble, ROUGHNECK RIOT, slated for Saturday’s performance. Their appearance is a prelude to their forthcoming European tour with the legendary American group, Strike Anywhere.
Among the lineup, CHERYM from Derry, a favorite of BBC Radio listeners, will represent Northern Ireland. Also, joining the ranks is MENSTRUAL CRAMPS, known for their riotous feminist-inspired punk anthems. London’s WACO is set to deliver their brand of party-infused pop punk, while RISKEE & THE RIDICULE, a grime-inflected punk outfit, will make their Lincoln debut, following a summer packed with appearances at festivals like Boomtown and Rebellion.
Catering to the heavier end of the musical spectrum, the melodic hardcore outfit ALL IDOLS FALL will reunite for a much-awaited performance. In addition, fellow Leicestershire rockers, RECKONER, will make their Lincoln debut, adding to the festival’s diversity.
On the local and regional front, beloved acts such as Hell’s Ditch, Last of the Wonder Kids, Tiger Warsaw, Northern Captives, Moskito, and Suburban Toys will grace the main stage. Simultaneously, the acoustic stage will showcase a host of esteemed troubadours including Sam Russo, Guise, and Sean Blakey.
Beyond the music, this year’s Badlands festival will house a themed craft beer bar courtesy of Signature Brew, renowned for their music-inspired concoctions. Vegan food options will also abound, and attendees can explore various small stalls and charity stands.
