Sonic Boom Festival is run by Sonic Boom Music CIC, a not-for-profit grown to celebrate the thriving music scene in Burton on Trent. Chris Hawkins (BBC Radio 6Music) calls it "a festival like no other" - with a free main stage at the heart of a genre and venue hopping one day, town centre festival.
We're a fiercely independent team of local music professionals, promoters, and music lovers backed by the council to bring live music to the whole community. Around the festival, we create paid opportunities for regional artists and invest in the next generation of industry professionals. All ticket income goes back into the festival, paying artist fees, and our year-round training programme for 15–25 year olds, TURBO.
